Halloween things to do: Spooky stories, creepy crafts and more

From trunk-or-treats to spooky stories to costume photography, the Tri-Town has a host of Halloween events for all this week.

Friday, Oct. 29
Haunts, Haints, and Hollers
At 6 p.m. in an event for those aged 6-11, Storyteller Rona Leventhal will share fun and spooky Halloween stories on the steps of the Elizabeth Taber Library. Blankets and chairs encouraged.

Saturday, Oct. 30
Library crafts
At 10:30 a.m. the Mattapoisett Library will be hosting a Halloween craft session where children can decorate a bag for trick or treating. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Registration is required.

Happy Hauntings
From noon to 4 p.m., experience Happy Hauntings at the Mattapoisett Museum. Join the museum for spooky stories, a scavenger hunt, tarot card readings, and crafts. Registration is required for this event and can be completed online at mattapoisettmuseum.org.

Trunk-or-treat
Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School will host a trunk-or-treat at 6 p.m., featuring raffles, games, prizes and candy.

Into the dark
Storyteller Rona Leventhal will return to the Elizabeth Taber Library at 6:30 p.m. for a spooky story time geared at teens and adults.

Sunday, Oct. 31
Halloween at the MAC
Show up in costume to the Marion Art Center from 3 to 5 p.m. to have your photo taken in an outdoor photo booth, by professional photographer Corinna Raznikov. Starting at 3:30 p.m., the friendly witches of the Marion Art Center will pass out goody bags of candy.

Halloween at the Historical Society
Starting at 1 p.m. at the Rochester Historical Society, visitors can enjoy trick-or-treating as they browse the society’s ongoing exhibit.
