Harbor Days schedule of events

The multi-day craft, food and entertainment festival known as Harbor Days returns to Shipyard Park this week.

While many of the events that have drawn crowds for decades will remain unchanged, there are 14 new vendors this year, such as Eco Friendly Jewelry, Ships in a Bottle, Joe Hurley author of “Walk Route 6,” and Hand Poured Soy Candles.

There is plenty of food throughout the weekend for those who get hungry while shopping or for those who aren’t big shoppers.

Thursday, July 14

As part of the festivities, the Lions Club is hosting a paint night during which residents can create their own masterpieces on Thursday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, July 15

Kick off a full weekend with the Friday night fish fry provided by Oxford Creamery from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Johnny’s Basement will perform from 6 to 9 p.m.

Saturday, July 16

Munro Preserve, next to Shipyard Park, is going to be busy.

Bowen Stables in Rochester is bringing two ponies and will offer pony rides for children of all ages from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The ponies will accommodate anyone less than 125 pounds.

Pony rides are $5 each. Cowboy and cowgirl attire is welcomed.

There will also be face painting at Munro Preserve.

There will be a “Lobsterfest” on Saturday evening from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.

Entertainment throughout the day will be provided by Chris Richards and Mike Lavoie (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.), The Bubble Guy (1 to 2 p.m.), Toe Jam Puppet Band (2:15 to 3 p.m.), Joe Mac Music (3 to 4:30 p.m.) and Cranberry Shores Chorus Directed by Sally Beck (6 to 6:45 p.m.)

Sunday, July 17

There will be a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 until 11 a.m.

Entertainment will be provided by The Travis Bliss Group (9:30 to 11 a.m.), The Showstoppers (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m) and Billy Couto and the After Hours Band (2 to 4 p.m.)

Saturday and Sunday

The craft fair will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday with more than 100 exhibitors present.

Also from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days is the U Pick ‘Em Auction.

The silent auction is Saturday at the same time, and from 9 a.m. until the festivities end for the day on Saturday there will be raffle ticket sales.

At 5 p.m. on Sunday the raffle winners will be chosen.
