The Mattapoisett and Rochester Lions Clubs are teaming up with local teachers to host the Harlem Ambassadors, an entertaining co-ed basketball team.

The event will raise money for Old Rochester Regional students who cannot afford extracurricular activities fees, and for classroom supplies at Center School and Old Hammondtown School.

The Harlem Ambassadors will perform the family-friendly game against local teachers, the Tri-town Trotters.

The Friday, April 4 event begins at 7 p.m. at the ORR gym. Tailgating with hamburgers and hot dogs will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and children under 6 free.

Tickets are available at Lloyd's Market in Rochester, Panino's in Mattapoisett, the Marion General Store, tri-town elementary schools or online at mattrochesterlions.brownpapertickets.com. They will also be at available for purchase at the door for an additional $2.
