The Hazardous Waste Day initially scheduled for May has been postponed due to the pandemic.

The event will be held on August 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Wareham Department of Public Works site and the Benson Brook transfer station in Marion.

The August date was the latest still available this year from the company contracted to run the event, except for Labor Day weekend, Waste District Director Jeffrey Osuch said.
