Heavy rains close some shellfishing areas in Mattapoisett

Due to heavy rain, shellfishing east of Mattapoisett Neck Road are closed until further notice. This includes Mattapoisett Harbor, Aucoot Cove, Crescent Beach and Peases Point.
All waters west of Mattapoisett Neck Road remain open. This include Howard's Beach, Brandt Island Cove and Antassawamock.
