Here’s where water may be shut off in Mattapoisett due to Henri

Aug 20, 2021

MATTAPOISETT — Depending on the strength of Tropical Storm Henri as it hits land, Mattapoisett residents may see water and sewer service interruption.

There will be no interruption, barring unforeseen circumstances, if Henri remains a tropical storm.

If Henry intensifies to Category 1 hurricane, service will be limited for Crescent Beach, Pico Beach, and Cove St. Residents. Sewer service may be limited for the Mattapoisett Neck, Antassawamock and Brandt Beach areas.

If the storm reaches Category 2, there will be no water service in the Crescent Beach, Cove St. and Pico Beach areas, with limited to no service in the Point Connett, Peases Point and Holly woods areas.

If the storm reaches Category 3, all of the above mentioned areas, alongside Harbor Beach and the Marshmere area of Mattapoisett Neck Rd., will have no service.

The potential for other areas to be shut down may occur depending on the storm’s severity.
