Holy Week at Mattapoisett Congregational Church
The Mattapoisett Congregational Church is hosting a handful of special services during Holy Week.
On Thursday, March 29, there will be a remembrance of the Last Supper with a simple, family-style soup supper and shared communion at 6 p.m. in Reynard Hall.The Communion Milestone Class will also give a special presentation.
On Friday, March 30, the church will commemorate Jesus' words from the cross in a "Seven Last Words of Christ" service at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The candlelight service offers brief reflections on Jesus' words, hymns and special music. Child care is provided in the nursery.
A long-standing community tradition continues with the church's Easter Sunday sunrise service at 7 a.m., April 1, at the Gazebo.
The traditional, family-style service is at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary, featuring music, time with children and a celebration of the Lord's Supper.
