Kids got to tee off on a nationally recognized golf course as Mattapoisett Recreation and The Bay Club teamed up to offer a four-week evening golf clinic to children in the tri-town area.

The clinic wrapped up on Thursday, Aug. 6.

Mattapoisett Recreation Director Greta Fox said, “We were thrilled that The Bay Club offered its facilities and PGA professionals to give the children this amazing opportunity.”

Participants in the 5 to 8-year-old age group did the SNAG (Starting New at Golf) program. The program is all about having fun while learning the basics of Golf.

The 9 to 12-year-old group worked on all aspects of golf, utilizing the practice facility and short game area.

Due to the success of the program plans are underway for a fall session.
