MATTAPOISETT — The Knights of Columbus host teen dances once a month on Friday to give teens a place to be and an outlet. 

The dances are chaperoned by six adults and a policeman. They are for students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades and cost $8 to attend. 

The teen dance for November will be Nov. 1 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus hall.
