This May the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path hope residents will be at Town Meeting to support the path. The project is on schedule, but additional funds are needed to complete it.

Planned as an occasional event to promote awareness of all that's going on, Bike Night is part of the Friend's "Bike Friendly Businesses" program. Dave Jenney, the man behind the little bridge at the Eel Pond breach, and Bike Path Committee member since 1996 will speak. The Friends will describe what has been going on with bike path planning and what's coming up: the Bike Friendly Business program, the tri-town riding club, a Bike-odeo at Center School and the Mattapoisett Bike Challenge.

Four Bridges bluegrass band will also perform.
