Learn about matter with the Mattapoisett Free Public Library

Dec 19, 2020

MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Free Public Library’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Projects To Go for January will explore matter — anything that has mass and takes up space (or has volume).

The project will be to fish for ice using ice, string, and salt, with a list of extension projects to do more.

STEAM Projects To Go are intended for teens grades 6 to 12.

Each Steam Project To Go includes: supplies needed for the project, instructions, information about the theme, a library book related to the theme, and ideas for more projects. Register to pickup a STEAM project between now and the end of December at the library's website, mattapoisettlibrary.org, or by calling the library. Once registered, the library will reach out  to arrange a pickup (library card required). If there is no spots left, register for the waiting list.

Contact Michelle Skaar at mskaar@sailsinc.org or call the library for more information. All programs are free and open to the public.
