The Sippican Lands Trust will hold an informational session on Thursday, Jan. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. to learn about traveling to Cuba.

Join the Sippican Lands Trust at 13 Cottage Street, Marion, for appetizers and refreshments and learn more about the food, culture, and history of this island in the Caribbean.

Space is still available for the Trust’s upcoming tour to Cuba with Cuba Up Close from Feb. 4 to Feb. 11.

Cuba Up Close and the Sippican Lands Trust will feature private tours of authentic Cuba celebrating the friendliness and vibrancy of this island nation in the Caribbean.

As part of the tour, travel to Old Havana, visit Ernest Hemingway’s old haunts and soak in the amazing art at the Museo de Bellas Artes.

Tour participants will also visit the National Museum of Natural History in Havana along with a special guided tour of Las Terrazas, a sustainable agricultural community.

There will be visits to the historic Bay of Pigs, the Vinhals UNESCO World Heritage Site, an authentic tobacco farm, and environmental education programs in Cuba.

A portion of the trip proceeds will benefit the work of the Sippican Lands Trust.
