According to a Mattapoisett Museum press release, Sousa has been knitting and crocheting since she was a small child. She has done craft shows and sells her goods on Facebook, which can be seen at Jackie’s Knits and Knots, where she takes special orders. Most of the classes she has taught have been in a home setting with small groups to provide more one-on-one instruction. She has also worked with the Girl Scouts and has taught many people the basics of knitting and crocheting.
The instructor recommends bringing a size G or H crochet hook and a skein of cotton yarn, like Lily Sugar & Cream Super Size Yarn, which can be found at Joanne Fabrics.
