MATTAPOISETT — Join the Mattapoisett Public Library and Mattapoisett-based artist Richard Van Inwegen for a lecture about “Traveling for Photos and Taking Photos While Traveling” on Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Hear local photographer Richard Van Inwegen share his wisdom about the different approaches between taking snapshots and making photographs. Using images from several different types of trips ranging from dedicated photo trips to family vacations, he will discuss how the type of travel greatly influences the amount of time spent photographing. He will provide tips on how to improve the odds of getting good photographs with research, planning, perseverance and managing expectations. 

He has been a member of multiple camera clubs and has attended numerous courses and seminars on photography.  For several years he has been photographing the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra as well as other non-profits such as the medical support team for the Boston Marathon.
