MATTAPOISETT — The library created a scavenger hunt and to help teens and families get outside. Each task that participants complete will earn them a raffle ticket for gift certificates to local restaurants.

For residents who are interested in something less social, the library also has a bingo sheet, which lets users do tasks to earn raffle tickets. Bingo card users who accomplish four tasks in a row, will get an extra five raffle tickets.

Each raffle ticket will be put towards gift certificates to Nick’s Pizza, The Oxford Creamery and The Slip.

Interested participants can pick up the materials for both activities at the side door entrance to the library or on the website, mattapoisettlibrary.org, starting on Saturday, July 11. The deadline to submit tasks will be Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. Winners will be announced on Saturday, Aug. 29.

Participants should log completed tasks by emailing Michelle Skaar at mskaar@sailsinc.org with their name, contact information, and what task you’ve completed. Proof is not required, but is highly encouraged.
