The Mattapoisett Lions Club would like to announce it's annual Youth Speech Competition open to students in Mattapoisett, Marion and Rochester who are in grades 10 through 12.

This year’s speech topic is “What is the Power of  'Just One'?”

Each speech must be a minimum of five minutes, not to exceed 10. Certificates will be given to all participants with prizes for the top three.

The contest will be held at 7 p.m. on November 14 at the Mattapoisett Chowder House.

Participants must be registered no later than November 9.
