On Saturday, April 20 more than 100 seniors attended the Mattapoisett Lions Club’s annual turkey dinner. Several volunteers delivered meals to seniors who couldn't attend. Lions Club members Joe and Janet Rego chaired the event, which was held in Raynard Hall. Members of the club said the Boy Scouts who volunteered were “outstanding” as they served meals and cleaned up after the event.

The club’s next project will bring repairs to the shade sheds at Ned's Point and the town beach. Also, club members said they were preparing for Harbor Days, to be held in July.
