The Mattapoisett Lions Club received approval from Selectmen on Tuesday to hold Make Mattapoisett Marvelous, an Earth Day clean up, on April 22.

The event will be headquartered at Shipyard Park, but will have a focus on picking up trash around town.

The Mattapoisett Woman’s Club has agreed to help with the event, and the Lions are seeking other organizations and clubs to participate. After the garbage pickup, there will be snacks and music at Shipyard Park.
