MARION — The Saints Youth Group Mission Trip Team of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Marion is hosting a spaghetti dinner fund-raiser to support their upcoming trip to North Carolina to assist in Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

The dinner will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at the church, 124 Front St., Marion. The tickets are $20 for adults. Children under 12 eat free with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Each ticket includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti and homemade meatballs, soft drinks, a glass of wine (with more available for purchase at the wine bar), desserts by Fieldstone’s of Marion and entertainment by Brenda & Dan.

A team of 21 teens and six adults will be headed to the greater Asheville area to help with ongoing hurricane relief efforts. They will help serve, clean and rebuild the area.

The impact of Hurricane Helene is still being felt in the area. As winter weather sets in, some people are living in tents, temporary shelters and even their cars.

The team hopes to help assist with service, cleanup, and rebuilding efforts and remind those affected by the hurricane that they have not been forgotten.

All of the money raised from ticket sales will go directly to the mission trip budget, helping to cover the costs of airfare, vehicles and gas, and teens on scholarship.

Tickets can be purchased at St. Gabriel’s Church in Marion with cash or check, or @GiveButter https://givebutter.com/5id2pB with credit card, Apple Pay, Pay Pal or Venmo.
