MATTAPOISETT — With grants from the Community Preservation Act and the Massachusetts Historical Commission, phase One of an inventory of significant historic and cultural resources is complete.

Preservation Consultant Lynn Smiledge will present a background of historic property surveys on Saturday, March 29, at 2 p.m. in the meeting Room at the Mattapoisett Public Library.

Survey highlights include town history, early houses, and interesting architecture. Smiledge will focus on individual historic homes, public buildings, areas and cemeteries. They can be found on the Town of Mattapoisett website at Mattapoisett.net under Historical Commission.
