Marion Antiques is going to the cats and dogs this year and donating proceeds from its $1 tables to the Rochester cat shelter, It’s All About the Animals, and the Marion Animal Hospital's Surrendered Animals Fund.

“We thought we might be able to raise $50 a month,” said Diane McNamee.

Six weeks after putting the tables outside, she and her husband Frank McNamee had raised $700 for the charities. The McNamees are frequent volunteers at It’s All About the Animals owned by Pam and Oren Robinson.

“We are hoping to continue to raise a few hundred dollars each month,” said Diane.

She said people can stop by any time and purchase something from the $1 tables, adjacent to the parking lot. When the shop is closed, slip money or a check payable to It’s All About the Animals under the back door.
