Marion Art Center to hold February vacation workshops for kids

MARION – The Marion Art Center is holding three different workshops for kids during February school vacation.

On Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., students can paint or sew cats, make printed cat paper and more at “Cat Camp!,” geared to children ages 5-10 years old.

On Thursday, Feb. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m., children at “Sew Fun!”, geared to ages 8-10, can learn sewing techniques to create stuffed penguins, fabric collages and tiny pillows.

And on Friday, Feb. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m., students ages 5-10 at “Painted Houses & Homes” will design and create cardboard houses. They will also create small clay animals and people to go along with the homes and embellish those houses with paint, glitter, markers, yarn and more.
