Marion Art Center to present ‘Crimes of the Heart’

The Marion Art Center will present “Crimes of the Heart” by Beth Henley, a comedy in three acts, on April 1, 2, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee performance on Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m.
The play was the winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for Drama as well as the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. It's a twangy story of three Southern sisters loving, feuding and fussing through a very bad day. The scene is Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where the three Magrath sisters have gathered to await news of the family patriarch, their grandfather, who is living out his last hours in the local hospital.
Reservations are highly recommended for this show. Tickets are $15 for the public and $12.50 for Art Center members.
