Marion Art Center to present Anton Chekhov's 'Seagull'
The Marion Art Center’s production of Anton Chekhov’s “Seagull,” will open on Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m, Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m, Friday, and Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m.
The comedy in four acts is directed by Rex McGraw and uses a modern translation by Curt Columbus, artistic director of Trinity Repertory Theater in Providence. Many of the same actors who were in the art center’s production of “Uncle Vanya,” another Chekhov play, have returned and are joined by a few new actors for this slice-of-life drama set in the Russian countryside at the end of the 19th century.

Cabaret tables are available for reserved parties of four. Reservations are recommended. Tickets are $12.50 for members and $15 for the general public. The Marion Art Center is located at 80 Pleasant Street.
