Marion Art Center Small Works Show, Holiday Shop to end Friday

MARION — Friday, Dec. 17, is the last day to finish your holiday shopping at the Marion Art Center with a collection of small works and holiday gifts made by local artisans.
Everything in the annual Small Works show is under 14 inches long and available to purchase right off the wall, perfect for last minute Christmas shopping.
In addition, the art center will have a variety of other gifts on sale in their holiday shop during the show. The MAC gallery, located at 80 Pleasant St. in Marion, will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
Friday will also be one of the last chances to visit the MAC in 2021, as the center will be closed from Dec. 21 to Jan. 4.
After the holiday break, the MAC will be back with its Winter Members Show starting Jan. 7 with an opening reception scheduled for Friday, Jan. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The drop off date for works to be included in the show is Tuesday, Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All MAC members are invited to participate and may submit up to two pieces each.
All works must have been executed by the artist within the last five years and must not have been previously shown at the Marion Art Center. The Marion Art Center will retain a 40% commission for any sold works.
The Marion Art Center will not exhibit works that are in poor condition (including frame), are not properly prepared for installation, or those that have been shown at the MAC before.
