Marion’s fiscal year 2016 budget is a work in progress as town and school officials work towards funding the education line item.

On Tuesday, Town Administrator Paul Dawson said he recently met with representatives from Upper Cape, Sippican School and the Old Rochester Regional School District.

“We’re still working out some bugs related to funding,” Dawson told Selectmen. “There are some enrollment issues that need to be worked out.”

In Marion, Finance Committee members have been meeting with town department heads to review budgets. Dawson said the town looks to be in good shape regarding finances.

“Overall, the process has gone well,” he said. “I’m confident that at our next meeting the Finance Committee will be able to make a final recommendation.”
