MARION — St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Marion held their own “Souper Bowl” on Sunday, Feb. 12. 

The church’s youth group held the Souper Bowl of Caring after Sunday services and had a tailgate party complete with sliders, sloppy joes, nachos and more. 

Participants were decked out in custom purple Souper Bowl shirts and the church was filled with football themed decorations. They even had a custom cake. 

The event was held to collect money and non-perishable food items for Damien’s Place food pantry in Wareham and the Marion Food Pantry. 

According to church member Tanya Ambrosi, the event was a “great success.”
