MARION — The Friends of the Marion Council on Aging will host “An Evening on Sippican Harbor,” a celebration and fundraising event for the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center on Aug. 19 from 4 to 7 p.m..

The fundraiser will support the final phase of development for the community center walking path and pavilion.

The walking path funds have already been raised and the handicap-accessible path is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.

Tickets for the event are $40 and on sale at the Marion General Store, Kate’s Simple Eats and Mimi’s.
