The Marion Select Board and the Marion Board of Assessors are seeking a Town of Marion registered voter to fill an elected official vacancy on the Board of Assessors until the Town election in May 2023.

The Board of Assessors main responsibilities as mandated by State Law are to manage the valuation and assessment of all real and personal property for ad valorem tax purposes, to set the tax rate, act upon confidential applications for tax exemptions and abatements, place value on new construction and commit motor vehicle and boat excise taxes.

Submit a letter of interest or completed application by close of business Thursday, Nov. 10 to the Marion Select Board, Two Spring Street, Marion, MA 02738.
