Marion to hold drive through flu shot clinic on Oct. 8

MARION — While coronavirus still persists into the fall, it’s also good to remember that flu season is coming.

As a way to combat the sickness, Marion will be holding a drive through flu shot clinic on Oct. 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Benjamin D. Cushing Community Center.

Town Administrator Jay McGrail said the clinic is the best way “to be able to run a test for covid inoculations.”

McGrail said the clinic will have multiple checkpoints, ending with the actual shot. At no point will residents have to exit their car.

Asked about when vaccines will arrive by Selectman Norm Hills, the town administrator said they would arrive before the clinic.

Hills also added that the clinic had been in talks for two months.
