Marion first responders treated a man who suffered serious injuries after falling from a second story balcony on Thursday evening.

According to Marion Police, officers and members of the Fire Department/EMS responded to a 911 call on Front Street at 6:20 p.m.

First responders found a man badly injured after he fell while attempting to move furniture.

Marion Fire/EMS treated the victim at the scene and transported him to Silvershell Beach where he was then taken to Rhode Island Hospital by helicopter.

Police said no further information is available at this time.
