Marion Police treat seniors to dinner

Dec 5, 2016

The Marion Police Brotherhood hosted a roomful of senior citizens on Saturday afternoon for a meal and holiday cheer.

“This is a good thing we do every year and the residents love it,” said Officer Alisha Crosby.

In addition to a catered meal, the event featured music, a poinsettia giveaway and Christmas cards with scratch tickets.

“It's just good for the community. It gets all the senior citizens together,” said local resident Antoinette Pina.

Shirley Reynolds echoed the sentiment.

“This is what it's all about – Christmas!”
