Looking for a new skill to learn or refine? Adult courses offered by the Marion Recreation Department start the last week of September. Creative writing will be offered Mondays at 9 a.m. starting on Sept. 30 and will run for five weeks. The course costs $65 per person.

Abstract painting classes will be held on Tuesdays beginning Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. for five weeks and will cost $65 per person.

On Wednesdays, re-upholstery classes start on Oct. 2. The cost is $125 per person. For five weeks, a printmaking classes are available starting Oct. 3 at 9 a.m. The course costs $75 per person.

Knitting classes begin Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. and will run for 10 weeks. Knitting classes cost $95 per person.
