The town of Marion reported a water main break on Blackhall Court Friday night, which caused some residents to lose municipal water until the system is repaired.

The break may cause discolored water, the town said in an online announcement Friday, and residents are advised to run cold water until it runs clear. Repairs are slated to happen Saturday, Feb. 19.

“The water main has been isolated from the system and repair is being coordinated for Saturday,” the town’s announcement reads.

Residents on Hastings Road and Blackhall Court won’t have access to town water until the system is repaired, the town said.

“Please note, discolored water may occur once again when the repaired main is brought back online,” the announcement reads. “We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.”
