Jan 10, 2019

MARION – A West Wareham woman employed by the town of Marion has pulled nomination papers for Wareham’s town clerk seat.

Wareham’s election is set for April 2. Candidates must submit the signatures of 50 registered voters by Feb. 11 to make the ballot.

Michele Bissonnette took out papers on Jan. 10 for the seat to be left vacant by current clerk Mary Ann Silva, who announced her retirement earlier this year. Bissonnette is currently an administrative assistant in Marion’s treasurer/collector office. She has also worked as assistant town clerk in Marion.

Sippican Week has reached out to Bissonnette for comment.
