MARION — Between Sunday, June 15 and Monday, Sept. 15, a mandatory water restriction will be in effect in the town of Marion.

The use of any outside watering will be prohibited except between the hours of 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays for even street numbered addresses. Odd numbered houses will be allowed to use outside watering at these same times on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Residents may wash vehicles and water plants on Sundays with a hand-held hose between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m.

This restriction will be strictly enforced. Any person violating this State of Water Supply Conservation Bylaw will be liable to the Town. For the first violation, the violator will be fined $50 and $100 for each subsequent violation.
