Mary B. (Barros) Offley, 90, of Marion died Sunday, December 11 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Andrew C. Offley.

Born in Marion, she graduated from New Bedford Vocational High School. A long time resident of Wareham and Marion, she worked as an assembler at Aerovox in New Bedford.

She was a communicant of St. Rita’s Church in Marion and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking. She was known for her stuffed quahogs and “munchupa”.

Survivors include three daughters: MaryJean “Tiny” Babbitt and her partner, Albert Barrett, of Boston;  Melinda L. Monteiro and her husband, Michael of New Bedford; and Melody Rose and her husband, Robert, of New Bedford; two sons, William “Bill” DeBarros and Warren “Timmy” DeBarros both of New Bedford; her brother, Alfred Barros of Marion; three sisters, Hilda Silva of Marion, Sally Seeley of Wareham and Mary B. Barros of Randolph; and her step-daughter, Pearl L. Kydd of Amherst.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Armando Barros, Julio Oliveira, Jr., Alice Cruz, Helen Lopes and Lillian Rose

Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on Wed., Dec. 14 at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rita’s Church, Front St., Marion at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
