Grades seven and eight basketball players have the chance to join a recreational basketball league hosted by the Mattapoisett Recreational Department on Saturday, Oct. 29 in the Old Hammondtown gym.

Teams will be picked after evaluations. Once teams are formed, new players cannot be accepted.

Times are as follows:

Grade seven boys: 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Grade eight boys: 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Grades seven and eight girls: 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Coaches are also needed for the program. Once teams are selected, you can pair up with a parent from your team. Weekend practices are at the coach’s discretion. The number of games played during the week will be determined by the amount of teams in the program.

Players will be contacted by coaches regarding start dates and specific times.
