Mattapoisett Community Sailing and the William E. Mee Youth Sailing Program will hold their annual fund-raising gala on August 11.

This year’s theme is Sailing Days in Mattapoisett and will honor three people. The honorees are wooden-boat restoration expert Dave Peterson of the Wooden Tangent, Peter Cassidy and the late Edward F.R. Wood Jr., author of "Sailing Days in Mattapoisett".

The gala will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as well as the annual silent auction featuring nautical items and art.
