Mattapoisett Congregational Church holds White Gifts Pageant
Dec 18, 2015
The Mattapoisett Congregational Church held its annual White Gifts Pageant Service on Sunday, Dec. 13. This long-standing traditional youth-led event is a blend of the Christmas story, hymns and a presentation of gifts wrapped in white.
More than 150 children and adults attended the pageant, and 115 gifts wrapped in white were presented to the baby Jesus. Gifts were donated to local organizations to help families in need.
Said Christian Education Director Patricia Berry, "Much like the angel Gabriel in the story of Christmas, the children brought the message of hope, love, kindness, peace and joy."
