Mattapoisett to halt vaccine registration for local clinics

MATTAPOISETT — The pre-registration process to receive the covid vaccine in Mattapoisett is being updated, following the state’s prioritization of mass vaccination sites.

In Mattapoisett, the last day to submit registration forms to the police department is Feb. 24. at 2 p.m, according to a press release from the Board of Health.

All forms submitted will be kept on file at the Public Health Nursing office. Eligible residents will then be notified if vaccine becomes available in the town of Mattapoisett.

Residents who have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine through the Public Health Nursing office are assured a second dose and will be
notified accordingly. The established second-dose vaccine schedule will be followed.

All eligible residents are encouraged to seek an appointment at a nearby vaccination location. For the most current information, please visit the Massachusetts Department of Public Health website at mass.gov/covid-19-vaccine.

Per the guidance of the state and due to extremely limited access to COVID-19 vaccine, the Public Health Nursing Office will focus efforts on vaccinating residents and staff of congregate senior housing as well as Mattapoisett’s homebound population.

Those who know of a Mattapoisett resident who needs assistance or are homebound may leave a message with the Public Health Nurse at 508-758-4118. Information regarding the vaccination schedule for senior housing and for homebound residents will be determined as more information becomes available.
