Mattapoisett Harbormaster resigns
MATTAPOISETT— Mattapoisett Harbormaster Jamie McIntosh resigned from his position to work full time as a Wareham firefighter. The Mattapoisett Select Board voted to accept McIntosh’s resignation during a meeting on Tuesday, March. 14.
McIntosh has worked as Harbormaster since 2019.
During his time as Harbormaster, McIntosh responded to emergency calls, cared for oyster farms, and performed routine maintenance.
The Wareham Fire Department welcomed McIntosh in a Facebook post.
“Jamie McIntosh began his career with the department in 2017 as a Call Member out of Station-1. He will be working on Shift 2 with Captain Bird and his crew,” wrote the Wareham Fire Department.
The Select Board wished McIntosh well for his next venture.
“I wish him the best,” said Select Board Chair Tyler Mcallister. “We will be following up with our next plan [to find a new harbormaster] as soon as we have one.”
