MATTAPOISETT — The Mattapoisett Free Public Library has a number of events to keep kids and adults occupied this October.

Fleece craft
On Thursday, Oct. 14 at 3:15 p.m. sign up for “No Sew Monster Fleece Craft.” Using fleece, stuffing and imagination, create your own cuddly monster. Recommended for ages 8 and up. Registration is required.

Ukulele lessons
Starting Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 3:15 p.m., Ukulele Lessons for Kids begins its weekly sessions through December 8. Children will learn the basics including tuning, strumming, simple chords and songs. Recommended for children 8 and up. Registration is required.

Graphic novel club
On Thursday, Oct. 21 at 3:15 p.m., kids age 9 and up can sign up for the library’s monthly graphic novel book club. The first graphic novel is “The Okay Witch,” by Emma Steinkellner. The book club will include a brief discussion of the book, a craft, snack and an introduction to next month’s book. Recommended for children age 9 and up. Registration is required.

Halloween crafts
On Saturday, Oct. 30 at 10:30 a.m. the library will be hosting a Halloween craft session where children can decorate a bag for trick or treating. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Registration is required.

Weekly story times
The library is hosting two weekly story time sessions, both at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday and Friday mornings. “Storytots” on Thursday mornings is a simple story time geared toward toddlers. “Songs and Stories with Miss Chris” on Friday is for children up to age 5 and includes a simple craft. For Halloween week, the library will offer a special “Trick or Treat through the Library” story time session. Children are encouraged to wear costumes. No registration is required.
