Online registration is now open for the Mattapoisett Lions Club Triathlon to be held July 10. The annual competition is now a USA Triathlon sanctioned event.

The triathlon includes a .25-mile swim in a well-sheltered harbor, a 10-mile bike ride on scenic county roads and a 5k run to around Ned's Point Lighthouse.

The cost is $70 for adults, $60 for ages 13 to 19 and $115 for relay teams. The prices increases on May 1. All participants must have a USAT licenses. One-day licenses may be purchased with registration.
