Come to the Mattapoisett Library from Jan. 15 to Feb. 14 to view a photography exhibit by Mattapoisett resident Richard Van Inwegen.

Photography has been a long-time hobby for Van Inwegen. He has taken numerous courses and seminars on photography and for several years has photographed the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra and other non-profits.

His photographs represent some of the many interesting subjects found in the area: boats, buildings, landscapes, wildlife and flowers.

All of his prints were developed with computer post-processing to achieve a desired impact. Some prints are blends of multiple exposures to handle the wide range of light intensities, some are blends of multiple images, some are the result of creative effects done with the camera and some are the result of being in the right spot at the right time.

In conjunction with his exhibit, on Jan 29 from 2 to 3 p.m., Van Inwegen will give a talk at the library called "Traveling for Photos and Taking Photos While Traveling." The program is free and open to all.
