Mattapoisett Preservation Committee public meeting

The Mattapoisett Community Preservation Committee will hold a public meeting Thursday, Oct. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in Center School to report on the committee’s progress and gather ideas on the needs, possibilities and resources for preservation in Mattapoisett.

Any town department, public or private agency, business, non-profit organization or member of the general public may submit proposals for the use of Community Preservation funds.

After public hearings and town studies, the Preservation Committee will make recommendations for Town Meeting for the acquisition, creation and preservation of open space and recreational land; preservation and restoration for historic resources; and the creation and support of public housing.

These meetings and hearings are open to the public.
