Mattapoisett Recreation has the following programs available soon. Register or find more information at www.mattrec.net.

Crafting through the holidays: Thursdays, 2:45-4 p.m., Oct. 20-Dec. 22. This crafting program will have children in grades kindergarten through third grade create holiday-themed crafts for the home and gifts for the holidays. Registration is due by Oct. 18.

Tri-town basketball: This is open to all tri-town kids in grades three to six. Mattapoisett Recreation and Marion Recreation have combined again to form a tri-town league, which means more teams, more gyms and more basketball. Practices will start in November, and games run from late December until early March. The cost is $90. Registration is due by Oct. 31.

Co-ed junior high basketball: All tri-town junior high students may participate in the junior high teams. Practices start late in November and games will run through early March. Evaluations will be Tuesday, Nov. 15. The cost is $90. The registration deadline is Nov. 10.

Sweet Treats Candy Making Workshop: Tuesdays, Nov. 15, 22 and Dec. 6, 13. Join Maria Lynch for four holiday-themed candy making workshops. Each participant will make seasonal/holiday inspired candy to bring home or give as gifts. This is open to students in grades one to six. The cost is $50. Registration is due by Nov. 11.
