Betty Jeanne (BJ) Nooth, a resident of Mattapoisett, will give a reading and talk titled “Why I Love Poetry” at the Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society on Sunday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. Nooth worked for the Massachusetts state government for thirty years. Now retired, she has facilitated a small poetry group for the past six years.

The talk will be held at the Russells Mills Schoolhouse at 1205 Russells Mills Road in Dartmouth. Light refreshments will be served. A $5 donation is suggested.
