Celebrate Independence Day by running the 44th annual five-mile Mattapoisett Road Race.

The Harpoon Harmonizers will start off the event with activities going on in Shipyard Park during the race. The race begins at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 4.

Mail in registration is $20 and due by 22 June. Online registration is $15 and due 24 June. Registration at Shipyard Park on July 3 is $20 and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Registration costs $25 the day of the race. All proceeds from the race are awarded to graduating senior athletes from Old Rochester Regional High School.
