MATTAPOISETT — The Woman's Club will meet on Oct. 17 at the Mattapoisett Congregational Church’s Reynard Hall at 11 a.m.  Members arrive for a social half-hour, after which there will be a short meeting if there is a matter requiring a vote. Around noon there will be a luncheon provided by the monthly tea committee, and a guest speaker will present after the lunch.

 

Susan Pizzolato of the Mattapoisett Library will be October’s speaker. Her presentation will be “Steer Clear of Clickbait or How to Wade Through All The Information That's Thrown At You On A Daily Basis.” Pizzolato will explain and give examples of different standards of newsiness across various websites.
